The Abu Dhabi Commercial and Conciliation Centre ("ADCCAC") is organized under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (the “Chamber”), and the Chamber’s Board of Directors is legally responsible for the establishment of ADCCAC and the formal adoption and amendment of its Procedural Regulations of Arbitration (the "ADCCAC Rules").
On 30 November 2023, the Chamber’s Board of Directors adopted Resolution No (75) providing for the reorganization of ADCCAC under the new name of the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre (“arbitrateAD”).
The relevant provisions of Resolution No (75) of 30 November 2023 state as follows:

Establishment of arbitrateAD |
The Abu Dhabi Commercial and Conciliation Centre (“ADCCAC”) shall be reorganized and renamed as the “Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre,” hereinafter referred to as “arbitrateAD.” Transition of Existing Cases | Existing cases registered under ADCCAC rules shall continue to be administered and resolved under the provisions of the ADCCAC rules. This provision shall remain in effect until all such cases have been terminated or otherwise transitioned to arbitrateAD upon party agreement.
Trade and Convention Committee | The ADCCAC’s Trade and Convention Committee shall continue to operate under the ADCCAC rules until such time as all cases administered by the committee have been terminated or otherwise transitioned to arbitrateAD upon party agreement.
New Cases | From the date of this resolution, all parties who request arbitration under ADCCAC rules shall automatically be subject to any updated arbitration rules and procedures as approved and published by arbitrateAD in due course.

Transition Plan | The Board of Directors of arbitrateAD is mandated and empowered to prepare and approve a comprehensive transition plan for the orderly cessation of ADCCAC operations. This plan shall ensure that the transition is conducted in a structured, legally sound, and efficient manner.

By effect of Resolution No (75) and adoption of the Arbitration Rules of arbitrateAD (published here), ADCCAC ceased accepting new cases as of 1 February 2024, such that all new cases filed from that date forward are administered by arbitrateAD and – and in accordance with Article 2 (1) of the 2013 ADCCAC Rules – are subject to the rules and procedures of arbitrateAD.
